Thanks to...

Students set off for Hong Kong at 5am on 28 July 2010. Before leaving, we would like to thank...

Thanks to all the teachers and host families for their guidance, care and patience to our students. They will remember the days spending with you all.

Thanks to our graduate who now lives in Saskatoon for buying students treats and showing teachers around the city.

Special thanks to our friendly neighbour Mrs. Adams for her hospitality. She walked teachers to the university campus, gave beautiful books about Canada and wrote to the federal government for lovely pins of Canadian flags for our students as a memory of the journey.

Thank you very much for all the friendly Canadians we came across in this trip. Wish you all a happy and fulfilling life.

Set off for a hike

Students experienced the wonders of nature by visiting the Banff National Park. The morning started with a hike at Lake Louise. They then took lift chairs up the mountain to admire the stunning scenery of the Victoria glaciers and enjoyed a small-scale snow fight. The tour also informed students with the beauty of alpine plants and the interesting wild life in the area.

On 25 July 2010 (Sunday), students spent their last day in Saskatoon by having a Chinese meal and enjoying cultural activities with their host families and teachers. Even though both teachers and students were not informed of the need to preform before the trip and were totally unprepared, they managed to perform very well that evening. Students expressed their thanks and gratitude by giving their host families thank you cards and shared their feelings after the meal. They then demonstrated magic, Chinese martial arts and Chinese calligraphy. Guests had a taste of Chinese culture by taking part in activities like paper cutting, painting masks of Beijing opera, bookmark design and lantern making. Everyone enjoyed the entertaining and warm atmosphere of the evening.
